kapaleeshwarar temple :
located 15 kmsfrom the hotel is chennai's most active and impressive temple, believed to have been built after the portuguese destroyed the seaside original in 1566. it displays the picturesque view of main architectural elements of many a tamil nadu temple - a rainbow-coloured gopuram (gateway tower), pillared mandapas (pavilions), and a huge tank. open from 5.30am to 12pm and 5pm to 9pm.

marina beach :
located 18 kms from the hotel, take an early-morning or evening stroll along the 3kmslong main stretch of marina beach which is the second largest beach of the world. at its southern end, the newly reopened, popular madras lighthouse is india's only lighthouse with a lift; the panoramic city and beach views are fabulous.

kalakshetra, thiruvanmiyur :
kalakshetra literally means a holy placeof arts. it is aninternationally renowned academy dedicated to the preservation of traditional values in indian art, especially in the field of bharatanatyam (one of the most popular dance forms of india) and gandharvaveda music. one should not miss the heritage walk around kalakshetrawhich mirrors the history and culture of the art foundation. located 10 kms from the hotel, the visiting hours are from 8:30 am to 11:30am except sundays

the royal enfield factory :
located 34 kms from the hotel, see where royal enfield motorcycles including models like 350 and classic are still made the old fashioned way! handcrafted in chennai, royal enfield is amongst the world's oldest motorcycle manufacturers still in business. factory tours are open on second and fourth saturdays only. the factory tour is of 2 hours and starts at 10:00 am.

nalli silks &pondy bazaar:
nalli is an indian wardrobe store and silk saree emporium based in chennai. synonymous with silk saris since the 1920s, nalli is one of chennai's iconic retail brands that deals in classic kanjivaram silks and traditional saris from the region. pondy bazaar, officially called soundarapandianangadi, is a market located in t. nagar, chennai. it is one of the principal shopping districts of chennai, located 13 kms from the hotel.

muttukadu boat house :
take a thrilling ride in a speed boat at muttukadu lake located 25 kms from the hotel. the muttukadu boat house stands on the placid backwaters, overlooking the glassy muttukadulake. with row boats, speedboats, pedal boats,besides two high-speed aqua scooters can sail at an average speed of120 km/hour. visit between 9am and 5pm for this experience for the outdoor enthusiast.

amethyst :
takes you back in time to madras in its colonial heyday. this magnificent bungalow with its checkerboard flooring, high ceilings and its verdant grounds is another world from the noise of the city. the ground floor cafe serves top-notch, european-flavoured treats ranging from quiches, pasta, crepes, creative salads to even afternoon tea, while the designer store brings together the finest jewellery, apparel and home accessories. visitbetween 11.00 am and 7:30 pm.

santhome church :
the national shrine of st.thomas basilica is built over the tomb of apostle st.thomas, one of the twelve apostles of jesus christ. one of the only three basilicas built over the tomb of an apostle in the world apart from st.peter’s at rome and st.james’s at spain, there is an underground tomb chapel below the who brought christianity to india is considered to be the father of indian christianity. located 15 kms from the hotel.

muruganidli shop, t nagar :
opened in 1993, muruganidli shop is the quintessential tiffin restaurant, offering south indian serves mouth-watering idli and piping hot dosa with our oeuvre of chutneys, side dishes and podis. muruganidli shop is open for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. a must try, it is located 12 kms from the hotel.

just 50 kms south of chennai, this historical town offers manyexperiences. you can go back in time to the pallava era when this coastal town was the stronghold of one of the most powerful dynasties of the south. the iconic shore temple is one of the finest examples of pallava architecture. the town’s lighthouses dominate the skyline - one dates back to the pallava period while the second is a relic of the colonial period. you can also unwind at one of the beach resorts around the area or eat scrumptious seafood all afternoon at popular shacks like moonrakers.
